Cancer Centers of America stops advertising on Al Jazeera America.

Florida Family Association tapes ten hours of programing on Al Jazeera America aka CurrentTV every day. The Florida Family Association office communicates with each advertiser no less than once per week. Top advertisers are strategically featured one at a time because there are so few of them.

Dear Mr. Caton:
Thank you for your recent correspondence expressing your concerns and that of the Florida Family Association regarding advertising by Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) on Current TV. We greatly appreciate your sharing your concerns and want to assure you that while we have run some limited advertising on Current TV earlier this year, we are no longer doing so based on the anticipated change of ownership this summer. We also want to make it clear that at the time we did advertise on Current TV it was not and currently isn’t owned by Al Jazeera and that CTCA has no affiliation with or desire to support that network or its programming.
I trust that this letter will assure you that CTCA is in no way involved with or a supporter of Al Jazeera, and we are most grateful for the opportunity to clarify any misconceptions regarding our advertising schedule.

Florida Family Association sent an elaborate reply to correct Ms. Morris' incorrect notion that Al Jazeera did not own Current TV. The email was copied to all of the officials that she copied.

Al Jazeera, the Arabic news cable channel headquartered in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar), purchased the CurrentTV channel which has the potential of reaching millions of viewers in the United States. Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for radical Islamists. Al Jazeera America is the new, tentative name for CurrentTV.
