The Council on American Islamic Relations issued a news release titled: CAIR-Philadelphia, Partners Call on US Army War College to Drop Islamophobic Speaker. The news release states in part:
The Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Philadelphia and coalition partners today launched a digital campaign to encourage the US Army War College to reconsider its decision to invite notorious Islamophobe Raymond Ibrahim to deliver a lecture in its prestigious 50th Annual Lecture Series on June 19, 2019.
Raymond Ibrahim is an American research librarian, translator, author and columnist. Gatestone Institute provides an exhaustive list of Raymond Ibrahim’s writings and publications.
Mr. Ibrahim has written extensively on Islamist persecution and slaughter of Christians.
How truly twisted it is for Raymond Ibrahim’s opponents to brand him with false narrative labels like Islamophobe for writing the truth about Muslims who kill innocent Christians around the world simply because of their faith.
CAIR and Muslim Grassroots Movement are urging their ranks to send emails to the US Army War College Commandant Major General John S. Kem and Provost Dr. James G. Breckenridge which state:
Raymond Ibrahim is a well-known Islamophobe.
The U.S. Army War College is honoring Ibrahim by inviting him to speak at your 50th Annual Lecture Series. In a time of rising white nationalism, Islamophobia, and violence, this invitation endorses and fosters anti-Muslim hate within the military and beyond.
We demand you drop Raymond Ibrahim from your lecture series and denounce Islamophobia.
